Description: We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our Civil Engineering team based in Winchester. The role requires frequent direct contact with clients, contractors and regulators and management of varied and challenging projects within this growing division of a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy The Post The post will involve technical work on the design and appraisal of flood defence works, drainage studies, SUDS, pumping station design and flood risk assessments. The post is within an existing team of engineers and modellers with a proven track record of delivering Flood risk Management projects at a local and national scale. We have a number of ongoing projects involving appraisal and the detailed design of flood protection schemes and the assessment of urban drainage.<br> Experience You will have experience of undertaking flood risk assessments in accordance with PPS25 and a sound technical knowledge of hydrological and hydraulic modelling. You will possess a good understanding of the workings of the Environment Agency and DEFRA, as well as up-to-date knowledge of current planning policies and procedures. Qualifications You will have a first degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or physical science combined with a level of consultancy / industry experience appropriate for this senior level appointment.
